Volcano Coffee Works is an independent specialty coffee roaster based in Brixton, London, where beans are still roasted by hand in small batches, each day — sometimes by the founder, Kurt Stewart.

I first met Volcano when they hired the brilliant strategy duo, craig+bridget. I was brought in to help shape the creative strategy — and the partnership went so well that I went on to create the brand's manifesto, messaging strategy and web copy, as well as naming and packaging copy for their compostable coffee pods.
